esiRNA Resource products are potent tools for the specific "knockdown" of human genes. esiRNA Resource products can be used for in vitro transcription and digested in vitro using the dicer enzyme to produce functional esiRNAs. After purification, functional esiRNA molecules are transfected into cells for the specific "knockdown" of genes inducing RNA interference with up to 95% silencing efficiency. Regeneration of the PCR products and high-throughput can be adapted easily.
RZPD offers esiRNA made from PCR products from verified gene-specific sequences. The PCR products were amplified using two gene-specific primers per gene avoiding repetitive or conserved sequences. T7 promoters were added to convert these dsDNAs (esiRNA Resource) into dsRNAs by in vitro transcription. These long dsRNA molecules (approx. 150bp - 450bp) can be cut by Dicer or RNaseIII into functional esiRNAs. RZPD is continuously expanding the collection. By spring 2005 the complete human transcriptome (36,000 genes) will be covered.
RZPD's esiRNA Resource product is a renewable resource by T7 PCR amplification, allowing multiple in vitro transcriptions and "infinite" potential for "gene silencing".
