Apro Protein Molecular Weight Markers provide you with accurate, reproducible standards for protein electrophoresis. Provided as unstained or pre-stained proteins, our molecular weight markers are available for both low molecular weight gels and gels with a broad range of protein sizes.

Apro Pre-stained Broad-range Marker

Cat. # SP-1120 (250 ml in SDS loading buffer)

APRO Pre-stained Broad-range Protein Marker consists of a mixture of ten marker proteins which are covalently bound to a blue-dye enabling real-time visualization of the protein bands on the gel without staining. This marker mixture allows you to monitor proper migration of proteins during the gel run, and to evaluate efficiency of protein transfer from gel to membrane sheet after electrotransfer. Two of proteins, Ovalbumin and carbonic anhydrase give higher intensities than the others to band-identification easier. Due to the staining, the precise migration of the the pre-stained proteins varies slightly with different lots and gel types. The approximate values are shown below.

Apro Unstained Broad-range Marker

Cat. # SP-1110 (500 ml in SDS loading buffer)

APRO Unstained Broad-range Protein Marker consists of a mixture of ten marker proteins designed to reproducibly yield the same accurate band pattern from gel-to-gel. This marker mixture allows you to accurately determine the molecular weight of your proteins over a broad range of sizes. The 66.4 kDa serum albumin protein is present in a higher concentration and therefore produces a more prominent band for convenient identification. Also, carbonic anhydrase II is pre-stained to facilitate monitoring the migration of the marker products during the gel run.

Apro Unstained Low MW Marker

APRO Unstained Low MW Protein Marker consists of a mixture of six marker proteins designed to reproducibly yield the same accurate band pattern from gel-to-gel. All proteins in this mixture should produce relatively equal intensity bands after staining with most protein dyes, such as Coomassie Brilliant Blue, SYPRO Ruby, or silver.
