Precursor Visceral Adipocytes
Primary cells of visceral adipocytes are stomal-vascular cells (SVCs) isolated from the mesenteric fat tissue of 3-5 week old, male, Sprague-Dawley rats. The SVCs will differentiate into visceral adipocytes and proliferate in optimized culture medium without synthetic compounds to promote adipogenesis.
Precusor Epididymal Adipocytes
Epididymal fat pads from 3-8 week old, male, Sprague-Dawley rats are removed and the tissue digested with collagenase. Mature adipocytes are separated from primary epididymal adipocyte cells by centrifugation. Our primary cultures will differentiate and grow in culture in the absence of synthetic compounds.
Precusor Subcutaneous Adipocytes
Subcutaneous fat tissue from young male Sprague-Dawley rats was removed followed by enzymatic digested. Primary subcutaneous adipocytes were isolated by centrifugation. The primary cells will differentiate and proliferate in our chemically defined, all natural culture medium.
